Gula melaka, Dried prawns and Red chilly padi
Ingredient
1 Japanese cucumber (sliced )
4 shallots (sliced)
sweet and spicy dried squid
coriander leaves
1 lime juice
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp fish sauce
Ingredient to be pounded
30 g dried prawns (Pound to small chuck size)
1 small piece of gula melaka
2-3 red chilly padi

Sliced shallots and cucumber.
Add in salt to marinated for 10 minutes or until soft
Drain them thru running water, Squeeze away water and drain it dry. Add 2 tsp sugar and 2 tbsp white vinegar to marinate for 1/2 hour. Finally drain away excess water and set aside.
Pounded ingredient
Bring dried prawns to pound in a mortar, add in gula melaka and pound till small chunk size.
Add in some small red chilly according to own preference.
In a mixing bowl add salad, sweet and sour dried squid and coriander leaves combine with pounded ingredient. Mixed well.
Taste salty and sweetness according to own preference.
Best to chilled in the fridge for 20 -30 minutes before serving .
