HONEY GLAZED SPARE PORK RIBS IN BASIL HERBS






















HONEY GLAZED BBQ BASIL PORK RIBS 
Ingredient 
600 g       5-6 pieces pork  ribs

Marinade.
2 tbsp      Oyster sauce
1 tbsp      Light soy sauce
1 piece    Red fermented bean curd- Nam yu
1/2 tbsp  Dark soy sauce
3 tbsp      Chinese cooking wine
1 tbsp      Basil herbs
2 tbsp      sugar
1/2  tsp    salt
4            cloves garlic

Glazing 
3  tbsp     Honey
1 tbsp      Butter

Direction 

  • Marinate pork ribs and chill in the fridge overnight.
  • Bring out to room temperature before baking .
  • Set Oven preheat to 180 c
  • Line a baking tray with aluminium foil
  • Place marinated pork and bake for 50 minutes or until desire tender.
  • Brush with glazing for another 5-10 minutes until brown and cooked.


Basil Sauce

2 tbsp      Oyster sauce
2 tbsp      Light soy sauce
1/2 tbsp  Dark soy sauce
2 tbsp      Chinese cooking wine
3 tbsp      tomato sauce
1 tbsp      Basil herbs
1 tbsp      honey
1 tbsp      sugar
1/2  tsp    salt
3 tbsp      Wheat flour + 2 tbsp water to dilute
200 ml     plain water.

Method

  • Mixed all the above sauce until well combine
  • Heat up a medium low heat saucepan and bring the sauce to a simmer.
  • Taste sweet and sour according to own preference.
  • Dish up set aside. Sprinkle some addition basil herbs according to own preference. (optional)


Note:
1) If you prefer darker in colour add more dark soy sauce
2) Sweet and sour according to own preference taste.
3) If the gravy is too thick or dilute..add or reduce according to own preference
4) If you would like a heavier aromatic flavor from Basil do add more.
