SESAME OIL CHICKEN 

Pound ginger and garlic roughly in a mortal 
Add in pounded paste with Ingredient C, mixed with chicken until well combine 
2 chicken drumstick and 2 chicken wings

Add in pounded paste with Ingredient C, mixed with chicken until well combine .Marinating Chicken for 1 hour

Heat up 2 tablespoon sesame oil. Add, stir fry marinated chicken for 8 - 10 min.
Add in Chinese shaoxing wine and little water, frying constantly .
Add in remainder water and simmer for 15-20 minutes until tender.
Drizzle some cornstarch solution for thickening. 

Dish up and serve hot. Sprinkle crispy fried ginger

GINGER SESAME OIL CHICKEN 

Ingredient A

  • 2 chicken drumstick
  • 2 chicken wings
  • Ginger - (shred amount as per desire)
  • 500 ml water ( + or -)
  • a few dashes of Chinese Shaoxing wine 
  • Sufficient cooking oil 
Ingredient B - Pounded paste 

  • 3 - inches ginger 
  • 4 cloves garlic

Ingredient C- Seasoning 

  • 1 teaspoon chicken granules
  • Pounded ginger & garlic paste 
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon light soy sauce 
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil 
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
  •  ( adjust as per your preference)

Direction 

A-Marinating Chicken for 40 minutes

  •  Pound ginger and garlic roughly in a mortal 
  •  Add in pounded paste with Ingredient C, mixed with chicken until well combine 

B-Crispy ginger strips 

  • Using peeler first to sliced and then cut into fine even thinly strips as possible. This is a tips to ensure beautiful even fried ginger strips.
  • Heat up medium low heat  and add sufficient cooking oil. 
  • You may use sesame cooking oil as per your preference. 
  • Add in shredded ginger and keep saute non stop to prevent burn and dish up.

C: Cooking sesame oil chicken 

  • Heat up 2 tablespoon sesame oil. Add, stir fry marinated chicken for 8 - 10 minutes.
  • Add in Chinese shaoxing wine and little water, frying constantly .
  • Add in remainder water and simmer for 15-20 minutes until tender.
  • Drizzle some cornstarch solution for thickening. 
  • Dish up and serve hot. Sprinkle crispy fried ginger .

Note:

  • Adjust dark soy sauce according to preference.
  • Self adjust the thickness of your gravy as per preference. 
  • By marinating using  pounded ginger and garlic will enhance the taste gravy and chicken.
