How to make a perfect batch of popcorn, with no burnt kernels!
Easy stove-top popcorn recipe.
Ingredient
130 g Popcorn Kernels.
5-6 tbsp of cooking oil (This depend on how wide your saucepan is)
Direction
Heat the oil in saucepan on medium heat.
Put 2 -3 popcorn kernels into the oil and wait for the popcorn kernels to pop.
When the kernels pop, that's what we are awaiting for 'POP POP POPS
Add the rest corn kernels. covering the pot immediately and count estimate 30 seconds to bring all the kernels popping. Immediately switch off the heat.
You will notice popping slows to several seconds between pops,
Remove the lid, and remove the popcorn immediately into a wide bowl set aside to rest.
With this technique, nearly all of the kernels pop, and nothing burns.
Preparing Caramel
Ingredient
100 g Sugar
40 g Honey
40 g butter
50 g plain water
1/4 tsp salt (Optional)
Direction
Add in all the above ingredient in a saucepan using a low medium heat
Keep stirring till well lightly melts and all well combine.
Pour the caramel in the popcorn mixing bowl and gentle combine till evenly.
READY TO BAKE
Set temperature to 150c preheat for 5 minutes..
Transfer popcorns to a baking tray layer with parchment paper .
Layer and spread the popcorns in a thin layer to achieve even crispy bakes stirring every 10 mins until golden crispy brown. Watch out not to burn it.
Remove from oven and leave to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
