CHAR SIU PORK BY AGNES THOR
Ingredient
- 500 g Kak sim pork (cut into a few chunks)
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp salted bean paste
- 2 tsp 5 spices powder
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
- 1 sprig spring onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dark soy sauce
- water
Direction
- Heat up 4 tbsp of oil a clay pot, saute garlic, salted bean paste with meat in low heat.
- Add 5 spices powder, honey, BBQ sauce and 1 sprig spring onion with some water.
- Bring to simmer and flipping the meat from time to time until evenly cook.
- When meat is tender add in salt and dark soy sauce.
- Add some water if the gravy dries up, little bit by little bit just to help soften the meat.
Note:
Do not add water too much at a time
