Roast Pork
Ingredient.
2 1/2 kg -3 layer pork belly
2 tablespoon of 5 spices powder,
1 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tsp white pepper,
2 tsp chicken granules
1 pc red nam yu
5 tbsp Chinese Wine.(Hua Tiau chiu )
Direction
Wash and bring pork belly to boil in a hot boiling wok for 8-10 minutes. This will remove the blood and all impurites..turn from side to side.
wash in cool running water and set aside to drain till dry could also pat with clean kitchen towel.
Prink holes on the skin as evenly as possible.
Mixed seasoning and rub to the meat evenly.
Rub 3 tbsp white vinegar to pork skin.
Marinate 24 hours for best result. Next day remove from the fridge and rest 1/2 hours in room temperature, then they are ready to be oven.
I used 200 C for 1 hr 10 minutes ..anyway keep monitoring the status of your roast pork to ensure beautiful bakes.
